Rename Multiple Files at Once -XP

When you download photos from your digital camera , they often have problem to unrecognizable names. You can rename multiple files at once. As well as this will work on other types of files.

1) Select the folder containing files that you want to rename
2) By holding Ctrl key to select multiple files
3) On the File Menu, click Rename
4) Type the new name to apply on selected files and then press enter

All of the files in the series will be renamed in sequence using the new name you typed. For Example: if you type Holiday, the first file will be named Holiday and subsequent files in the series will be named Holiday(1), Holiday(2), Holiday(3) and so on.

To specify the starting number for the series, type the starting number after the new file name. The rest files in series will be numbered in sequence starting with the number you type. For Example, if you type Holiday(50) then the rest will be named Holiday(51), Holiday(52)........
